Internet, E-mail, & Use of I.T. Equipment Policy PITE01 £24 plus VAT

Suitable for a business of any size, this policy is used to protect your data, information and systems security. This document sets out a comprehensive policy dealing with the use of IT equipment, the internet, and email. The policy makes it clear that the use of these facilities is for work purposes. Specific misuse is then defined as amounting to gross mis-conduct. The policy makes it clear that internet use and emails may be monitored. It is important that employers specifically bring to the attention of their staff the fact that email and internet use (and contact) will be monitored. This means that staff should appreciate that the facility is for work, and that they cannot expect to make personal use of these facilities, and that they cannot expect any right to privacy in the content of any e-mails they send and receive.
