Alcohol and Drug Misuse at Work Policy PALC01 £16 plus VAT

Having staff at work under the influence of alcohol is a clear health and safety risk to that employee, together with his/her colleagues. In addition it poses a particular danger if the employee is required to work machinery or drive. This policy prohibits the staff from arriving at work under the influence of alcohol, or from becoming under the influence of alcohol during the working hours. The policy also applies to prescription medication, and illegal drugs. The policy makes it clear that the employee will be treated as having committed gross-misconduct if he/she breaches the policy, acting as a warning to staff.
